Life in 2015

During Christmas, everyone kept saying, “I can’t believe it is already Christmas.” And, that didn’t necessarily shock me. I was more confused that it was nearly 2016.

2015 for me has been a whirlwind. My husband and I started the year in Puerto Rico, which was a blast! I don’t know if I’d ever want to go back, yet it was on my bucket list to go.

Nothing too exciting happened during the spring, I was just enjoying being back in Washington and closer to my family.

In July, we went on our first ever mission trip together to Guatemala. It was such an amazing thing to see your spouse on a trip like that. If you’ve ever been on a mission trip, you feel like you get back and you got so much more out of it then you ever could have given. The two songs I couldn’t get enough of while I was there was My Own Little World by Matthew West and Oceans by Hillsong United.

We also celebrated our one year anniversary in July! Well we had to celebrate a day early since I had to be in Colorado on the actual first anniversary, but it was still fun! We went to the Melting Pot in Tacoma, WA.

In August, our house was up for sale! We hadn’t even lived in it a year. Fast forward to October, we sold it October 5, 2015. The weirdest thing is we bought it October 6, 2014. We lived in our house for exactly a year.

We were in Colorado by the time our house sold, which has been an experience to say the least. Read my first blog on how choosing the right apartment is so important.

In November, I started my blog. Mostly as somewhere to put my thoughts, and hopefully someone will get something from it.

Honestly, I can say I’m excited for 2016. I’d love to live somewhere longer than a year, so I’m hoping that is possible. On that note, I hope you have a very Happy New Years!
